In the heat of the summer I like nothing more than a crisp, refreshing white wine, and this Soave hits the spot. Soave is a delicious white wine made in the Venetto region of Italy, and the quality has come a long way from that overproduced Soave Bolla of twenty years ago. This wine is dry and clean with a taste of lemon and minerals. The crispness is very refreshing, but it is not as acidic as a Sauvignon Blanc. The mouth feel is more velvety. This is a simple wine that should be drunk young, but that simplicity is what makes it great for summer. It will pair well with fish, chicken, and any grilled vegetables. Enjoy.
